San Vicente Homeowners Board Meeting Minutes

January 8, 2015

Officers Present: Bob Mann, Jack Jackson, Cheryl Mrachek, Ronnie Sumter

Board Members Present: Paul Ortega, Tony Jimenez, Pat Haden, Mark Allen, Susanna Lavorin

Board Members Absent: Lilith Imbrogno

Guests: There were 74 for the great Chili Dinner plus 11 joined us at 7:00 for the meeting.

Bob Mann, president, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The Board Association Minutes of December 11, 2014 were read and approved with one correction. January 8th meeting had been incorrectly stated as January 15th.

Treasurer’s Report: Jack Jackson reported as of the end of December, the checking account balance is $2396.00. In addition, legal defense fund balance is $19,374.06. Jack also reported that the stop payment that had been put on a check for membership to the Homeowner’s Association which cost the HOA $9.00 was recovered. Paid membership remains at 172.

DPG Report: None.

GSMOL Report: Anne Anderson gave a report and stated that MRL copies are available upon request. She also gave the SCAMPER, South Coast Alliance of Mobile Home Parks report. Social Committee Report: Ronnie Sumter reported that the Social Committee was hosting our 1st ever Happy Hour on January 22nd from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. Attendees are asked to bring an appetizer for 8-12 persons for this event. There is no charge for this get together and drinks will be provided. Signup sheet is in the Club House.

Actions taken by the Board since December 11th meeting:

Old Business:

Possibility of a Dumpster be made available for large items to be discarded The Board again brought this up with Management and it appears this will be done sometime in the spring. Details to come on this.

Addendums to the Rules, Architectural Standards and Pets were placed in your tubes today. Please sign all your copies and return to the office by Friday, February 13th. If you still have a question with these, the Board asks you contact Stuart first for possible resolution before contacting the Board.

Announcement/New Business: The Board voted Paul Ortega to be the new Treasurer and Susanna Lavorin has resigned. The Board thanked Susanna for her service to the Board. This now leaves two openings on the Board and four individuals have requested consideration. They are Don Webb, Ellen Duke, Patty Byrum and Charlene Hovey and they were introduced to the audience members. There will be an upcoming election to fill the two positions.

HOA Dues for 2015: Dues for 2015 are due. $40 if you are a first time member or $15 to renew your membership. Please include your email address if the Board doesn’t already have it so news, reminders and monthly minutes can be emailed to you. Don’t forget to check out the San Vicente website [this website you’re now reading] ably handled by John Wiley and more. [It was pointed out at the meeting that there are now more residents learning to use the website, and that the excellent new print newsletter is created by a different team of able volunteers.]

Next Board meeting will be February 12th, 2015 at 7 P.M. in the Clubhouse. The meeting was adjourned at 7:45
